Position Summary:

Provide architecture consulting for strategic initiatives across the enterprise with focus on network design, network security, WAN optimization, policy standards, and Infrastructure as a Service. Evaluate, define and maintain optimal IT/engineering infrastructure standards and designs involving the network, LAN, WAN, VPN, and security. Perform network modeling, analysis and planning. Develop and update infrastructure, multi-layer network architecture components and technology roadmap. Translate business requirements into network architecture and designs. Job Title:  Computer Systems Analyst

Position Summary:

The Computer Systems Analyst position will be responsible for infrastructure and routing design, network strategy, implementation, of the Converged Regional Area Network (CRAN)/Converged Commercial Networks. The Comcast CRAN combines the following services – data, voice, and video – onto a single converged infrastructure for the Commercial service offerings. The Commercial Network Engineer will also provide expertise in real time analysis and diagnosis of network problems, and configuration and operation of CRAN/Commercial service offerings, networks and devices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and document high-level and detailed network designs for the CRAN/Converged Commercial Networks, as well as for the augmentation of existing commercial networks
  • Generate network configurations to support market augments and CRAN/Converged Commercial Networks designs
  • Develop and implement routing architectures for the roll-out of Metro Ethernet products.
  • Assist in the development and implementation planning for the roll out of future hardware and software versions of network devices.

Job Location: Piscataway, NJ & unanticipated client locations throughout US

Description: Install, configure, and support a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Internet system or a segment of a network system. Maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Work with other network support and client server specialists and plan, coordinate and implement network security measures.

Requirements: Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Science (any discipline). 2 years of experience in job offered or 2 years of experience as Network, Systems or Technical Services Engineer or any suitable combination of experience/education/training. (Bachelor’s may be substituted with 3 years of university coursework towards Bachelor’s and 3 additional years of work experience.)
