Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12 Months
Experience: 7 to 10 Years is a must

Resident Consultant-Minimum Skills

  • Expert level with hands-on experience in Openstack, Contrail, Overlay and Underlay technologies, Hypervisors, Linux and other SDN-related technologies
  • Experience in a scripting language as such as Python, Perl or similar
  • 3-5 years experience supporting Service Provider IP/MPLS netwks
  • Expert understanding of MPLS enabled netwks and apps (l3vpn, l2tp, vpls,etc)
  • Expert understanding of OSPF and BGP protocols
  • Great communication skills in English

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the customer’s processes and procedures
  • Provide customer with assistance solving network related problems, such as malfunctions and configuration problems. Actively drive the troubleshooting sessions related to critical issues typically impacting services
  • Support root cause analysis
  • Triage found issues and assist JTAC collecting information and with on-site reproductions
  • Coordinate with internal teams to increase the efficiency of problem resolution
  • Review and analyze customer network design to locate potential problems, and correct them by working with the customer on better solutions
  • Read manuals, technical reports and study new technologies meeting the customers support requirements
  • Assist the customer to develop Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures

Skills/Required Experience: 
Minimum Skills:

  • Expert level with hands-on experience in Openstack, Contrail, Overlay and Underlay technologies, Hypervisors, Linux and other SDN-related technologies.
  • Experience in a scripting language as such as Python, Perl or similar. 
  • Expert experience in fault isolation logic and techniques.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Service Provider IP/MPLS networks.
  • Expert understanding of MPLS enabled networks and applications (l3vpn, l2tp, vpls, etc)
  • Expert understanding of OSPF and BGP protocols.
  • Great communication skills in English.

Preferred:

  • Team Player, Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Experience in supporting large scale ISP customers is a plus.
  • Degree in B.S. in electrical engineering, computer science or similar degree
